What is a photo preset?
A preset is a saved combination of editing settings. Apply it to a photograph to create a particular colour and mood, then adjust exposure, white balance or contrast if your image needs it. Think of a preset as a creative starting point rather than a one-click promise.
Are CanterCanvas presets suitable for beginners?
Yes. You do not need professional retouching experience. Start by applying a preset, compare a few looks and make small adjustments. Your original light, camera settings and subject affect the final result.
Are these presets only for Lightroom?
No. They are primarily designed for Adobe photo-editing workflows, but they are not limited to Lightroom. Depending on the compatible files included with the product, you can also use them through Adobe Camera Raw in Photoshop.
Can I use the presets in the free Lightroom mobile app?
Yes. The mobile-compatible files work in the free Lightroom app for iOS and Android. You do not need a paid Lightroom subscription for this mobile workflow.
Do the presets also work on a computer?
Yes. Depending on the compatible files included with the product, you can use them in Lightroom Desktop, Lightroom Classic and Adobe Camera Raw in Photoshop.
Do the presets work in Photoshop?
Yes. Open the compatible XMP presets through Adobe Camera Raw in Photoshop.
What files will I receive?
Each product page lists exactly what is included. XMP files are provided for newer Lightroom versions and Adobe Camera Raw in Photoshop, LRTEMPLATE files for older Lightroom versions, and DNG files for the free Lightroom mobile app.
How do I receive my download?
After your payment is confirmed, your files or download link are made available digitally. No physical product is shipped. If you cannot find the download, check the email address used for your order and contact us at presets@moodyequines.com.
Why does a preset look different on my photo?
Every photograph has different light, exposure, white balance, camera settings and colours. After applying a preset, adjust exposure and white balance first. Small changes are normal and usually all you need.
Can I use presets on JPEG and RAW photos?
Yes. Presets can be used on both. RAW files usually give you more editing flexibility, while JPEG files can still produce beautiful results when the original exposure is good.
Can I undo a preset or try another one?
Yes. Lightroom and Camera Raw edits are non-destructive, so your original file remains unchanged. You can switch looks, reset the edit or fine-tune it at any time.
Are the before-and-after images AI-generated?
No. CanterCanvas develops and tests its presets on genuine photographs. Our product previews show real photography and real edits, never AI-generated before-and-after examples.
Can I return a digital preset?
Digital content is delivered immediately after purchase. During checkout, you are asked to agree to immediate delivery and acknowledge the applicable cancellation terms. Your statutory rights remain unaffected.
